Beginners (es) yellow and orange belt learn to perform simple basic techniques while keeping good posture and good form. They must be able to do pre-arranged fights and perform basic shotokan-style kata: Heain shodan and Heian nidan

Grading tests
Belt grading is the evaluation of the practitioner’s learning and comprehesion of the next belt level. This evaluation should not only be based on the technical aspect but also on the mental and spiritual development of the karateka.
The practitioner should be able to perform simple basic techniques while keeping good posture and good form. The normal time for exams at this level is 4 months with two to three trainings a week.
